Christa is the owner of Topsail Insider and host of the Topsail Insider Podcast, where she interviews local business owners and nonprofit leaders across the coastal communities of Greater Topsail, North Carolina.
Originally from North Carolina, Christa spent over two decades in Los Angeles working in and around the entertainment industry. But as a mother of two, she felt a strong pull back to the slower pace and sense of community she grew up with, and ultimately returned to North Carolina to build a more grounded life for her family.
That move didn’t mean stepping away from media—it reshaped it. Through Topsail Insider, Christa blends her production background with a genuine passion for community connection, creating a platform that highlights the people, businesses, and stories that make the Greater Topsail area unique.
Christa is also the founder of Topsail’s Top Choice Awards, launched in 2024 in partnership with Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism and Topsail Magazine. The awards give the community a voice, allowing locals to nominate and vote for their favorite businesses, events, and nonprofits while celebrating excellence across the region. Her work on the inaugural campaign led to her being named the Chamber’s 2025 Businessperson of the Year.
As a member of the Leadership Pender Class of 2025–2026, Christa has expanded her focus beyond Topsail and is currently developing new platforms designed to nurture civil discourse and encourage thoughtful community involvement across all Pender County.
At the core of everything she builds is a simple goal: to create meaningful connections—between people, ideas, and the community they call home.
